Packs change.
The register never keeps up.
A cable month is made of pack changes: an HD add-on in March, a sports pack for one season, a box moved to the son's room. Exrecharge keeps all of it on the connection so the amount on the reminder is never last month's figure.
Six things an LCO deals with every cycle
None of this is exotic. It is the ordinary work of running a cable network, which is exactly why it should not be living in a notebook.
Base pack plus add-ons
One base pack, any number of add-on channel packs, each with its own price and start date. The reminder carries the total, the invoice carries the split.
Seasonal packs
A sports pack that runs for a tournament can be given an end date on the day it is added, so billing stops without anyone remembering to stop it.
Set-top box register
Serial number, deposit amount and the connection it sits on. When a home disconnects, the box to recover is already named.
More than one box per home
A second or third box is billed as its own line on the same connection, with its own serial and deposit, not as a separate subscriber.
Lane-wise collection view
The way an LCO actually thinks about a network. Which lane is clean, which lane is dragging the month, and which agent is on it.
Invoices with the pack split
Base pack and add-ons shown separately with tax, so a subscriber asking why the amount went up gets an answer on paper.
A bad lane looks like a bad month
Cable collection is geographic. One lane with a feeder problem can pull a whole month's percentage down, and from a single total you would never know which one. Breaking collection down by lane turns a vague shortfall into one street to visit.
- Complaints tied to lanesA cluster of complaints on one lane is a feeder fault, not five unhappy subscribers.
- Agents mapped to lanesEach lane has an owner, so a weak lane has someone accountable for it.
- Churn read by laneWhen a rival wires up one street, you see it in that lane's risk scores first.
Asked by cable operators
I collect almost entirely in cash. Is this still for me?
This is the most common starting point for cable operators. The reminder still carries a payment link, and the share that chooses to pay online grows each month on its own. Everything that stays cash is collected the same way, with the entry, receipt and evening count handled in the app.
Can I manage more than one area or franchisee?
On the Network plan, yes. Each area keeps its own subscribers, agents, plan sheet and collection view, with a combined board for the owner across all of them.
Do you talk to my MSO or billing system?
Exrecharge runs on your subscriber and collection side. On the Network plan an API is available if you need the subscriber master kept in step with an upstream system.
What about subscribers who pay once a year at Diwali?
Take the advance, and it is consumed month by month. They stay out of every reminder run until the advance is used up.
Where to look after this
Let the street
do the chasing.
Import your list this week and the 25th run goes out on its own. Most operators are live on the same day they upload, because the register is the only thing we need from you.
